We are set to receive 76 more books (since last week's 45) thanks to Indigo Books "Adopt a School" and all the people who are sharing stories and donating (both here on Salt Spring and over on the mainland (Richmond/Vancouver area) where our "team dedicated to Fernwood) has busily been fundraising! 

Last week we announced how happy we are that our Library has been adopted! 

In addition to an "Indigo Spirit Team" dedicated to our school at Indigo who has already raised $726 for us, between September 15 and October 7th all Teachers, parents and students at Fernwood have an opportunity to donate and help Indigo fill our library with amazing books as well. If you go to https://adoptaschool.indigo.ca/eng/schools/1658  you will see Kelda's statement when she applied for our Library to be adopted last year and also that so far we have raised enough to buy 121 out of the 205 books goal. You can donate through the site (100% goes to the Library) OR you can share a story about a book that has inspired you or made an impact on your life. Up to 20 stories will be selected to be shared on the website and Indigo will donate up to 20 books to Fernwood school to thank you for sharing your stories!!   (the books are valued at $6 per)
