Four classes attended the BC Forest Discovery Centre's learning program this week in Duncan for their O'Christmas program. Students in Ms Curtis' Kindergarten Class, Ms Michaux's Grade 1 Class, and the two Grade 2/3 classes (Ms Jones and Ms Pyper) experienced the evolution of the Christmas tree from candles to modern LED lights, and from homemade ornaments to the brightly coloured glass balls we enjoy today. Students had fun exploring the different species of trees and went on a special Christmas Express train ride. The museum's locomotive collection represents how our towns were connected and how our province's natural resources are accessed. |
