Eight of our classes attended “Bouge de là” Wednesday, as part of ArtSpring's subsidized performances Program.  The performance was generously sponsored by Joan Farlinger, Salt Spring Coffee, and Country Grocer.  We received wonderful feedback from staff and students that the show was excellent! On Tuesday, Grade 4s and 5s Andrew McPhee and Melissa Hingston's classes participated in a dance workshop here with two members of the dance troupe!

In this bold and playful work, children take part in a unique experience in which they not only see a dance performance but actively participate! The show starts with A of course, with Z the last to take his leave. In between, the letters embody a plethora of words, meanings, emotions, and tones of voice. Bouge de là (created in 2000) remains one of the rare professional dance companies in Québec devoted exclusively to creating dance presentations for children: La Tribu Hurluberlu (2000), Like the 5 Fingers on your Hand (2003), CHUT!! (2005), Old Thomas and the Little Fairy (2008), The Studio (2010), Bedtime! (2013), and The 26 Letter Dance. Whether you are a child of four or 94, this production will delight.
