A small group of Ocean lovers on Salt Spring are joining in with an afternoon of fun ocean themed activities for children 6-12 years old at the Salt Spring Public Library. The event will offer book readings, videos, slide shows, games, crafts and even dancing! The FREE event will be held in the Program room at the public library on SATURDAY JUNE 8, 1:00-4:00 pm. Space is limited so pre-registration at the library is advised! Ann Donahue, Catherine Griffiths, Sarah Grindler The students of Mr. McPhee and Ms. Hingston’ classes have been involved in a book writing project this spring guided by author/ photographer Ann Donahue as part of the Artist in the Classroom program. The students created a book entitled Reef Creatures Continued and a copy of their book will be donated to the Salt Spring Public Library on Saturday June 28 during the World Oceans Day event for children.
