Farm to School "Harvest Lunch"

Last week all classes participated in the launch of our very first "Farm to School" Harvest Lunch in partnership with North End Farm.  Thank you Wendi Gilson and Sally Daily from North End Farm!   Ingredients from North End Farm (organic chicken and vegetable soups, salad greens, homemade bread, dried apples, hardboiled farm eggs) along with kale, swiss chard, oregano, and chives from our very own Fernwood Garden were enjoyed by all.  Thank you to parent volunteers Kiran Dhingra (who helped on her birthday :), Julia Stevens, Christie Roome, Helen Buck, Sam Chamberlin, Paul FitzZaland, Tony Brinks, Crisel Blondahl, Cali Chang, Linda Ruehlen, Marita Degerbo, Beeke Breuer and a special thank you to Andrea Bryson!  We are grateful for this Public Health of BC Farm to School Grant that helps us provide a sustainable lunch program with healthy food while supporting our local Farms.
