If you are new to the school, please check in at the office and we will help your child find their classroom. We will also have information posted on a notice board near the front entry.

SECOND DAY: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH

This is a full day of classes 8:25 am – 3:20 pm EXCEPT for Kindergarten students

Today, your child will start their day in the classroom they went to on day 1 (yesterday) and at about 8:45 am we will have everyone move to their new class, as applicable.

DISTRICT INFORMATION AND BUSES:  Check in at the office to let us know if your child will be riding a bus.

In addition to this school news link, the Gulf Islands School District webpage is http://sd64.bc.ca/

On these pages you can find bus schedules, school information (recess and lunch times), the District Calendar, staff emails and more.

If you would like your child to ride the bus, please check in with the School office and we will help you.  Bus #4 and Bus #5 drivers are very supportive during the first weeks of school and will pick up students along the way at the stops that appear on the schedule even if you have not yet registered.  But if you plan to continue to ride the bus after the first week, you need to tell us (information such as parent/guardian name, contact number, chosen stop). This information is collected during the first couple of weeks of school.

It is recommended that during the first week of school Kindergarten students NOT ride the bus. This is due to the gradual entry schedule (the bus is not here to take them home at the half day mark for example).  Please also be aware that Kindergarten students and Grade 1 students are not permitted to get off at a bus stop at the end of the day without being met by a parent/guardian.

We're looking forward to seeing you Tuesday morning! Coffee and Muffins will be in the front hall for parents who would like to stay between 8:30 and 10:00 am.
