Yesterday, the Fernwood Senior Choir travelled to Salt Spring Elementary to join the SSE Senior Choir, in order to videotape their joint submission for the CBC Music Challenge. This is an annual CBC contest held Canada-wide. It was the first time both choirs have sung together, and they would definitely like to do it more often! SSE parent David James  lent his expertise to capturing the moment on videotape, as they sung the Canadian song “Scars to Your Beautiful,” while accompanied by volunteer Lynn Stafford on the piano. The videotape will be submitted in late November for the CBC judges. Whether any prizes are won or not, everyone sure had a lot of fun singing together. A big thank you to the students,  parents, and teachers who helped make this musical event so successful!
