Garden Update

It's definitely getting to be garden time.  The grade 3/4 and 4/5 classes have been outside more frequently, working on the compost, topsoil and garden beds.

We have had donations of seeds from Salt Spring Seeds, which will be planted in the garden beds soon.  Our busy students have been planting flowers to make the school more beautiful.  They have also put up a temporary "greenhouse" with pipe and plastic over one of the garden beds for spinach and lettuce planting.

Soon, we will begin to plant seed starts in the greenhouse.  Look for our plant start sales later in the Spring.

Also, a huge thank you to Mary Ann McColl for the donation of apple trees.  We are excited about this special addition to our garden.
