Have you seen the red donation bin in the foyer of our school?

Salt Spring Literacy is looking for gently used board books and picture books appropriate for babies and preschoolers that your family has outgrown.

The “SSI Literacy-1000x5” is based upon the successful 10 year program in Greater Victoria and the belief that if a child hears 1000 books by age 5, he or she is much better prepared to enjoy and succeed in learning.

Books will be collected, sorted, packaged and distributed to island families through community programs.  Recycling at its best.
