Foundation Skills Assessment (January-February)

Students in Grade 4 will be completing the Foundation Skills Assessments during the period of  January 25 - February 29. The Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA) is a set of reading, writing and numeracy tests administered each winter to BC students in grades 4 and 7. FSA provides a “snapshot” of how well BC students are attaining the foundation skills of reading, writing and numeracy.

Our Grade 4 students will have the opportunity to do a portion of the sample online reading assessment for practice next week so that they could become familiar with the format and navigation before starting them. You can help your child prepare for the assessments by encouraging him/her to their best  and by ensuring he/she is at school by 8:30 a.m. at the latest during the assessment period.
