It’s just one week until our Great Water Walk on Thursday, May 24th. All students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 will be participating in a fundraising walk to St. Mary Lake and back. As in past years, we are walking to raise money to provide village wells in Andhra Pradesh, India.  

Students should bring their capped plastic or metal containers on or before next Thursday. We recommend that children carry an amount of water that is equal to their grade level (eg: Gr. 2 students carry 2 litres, Gr. 4 students carry 4 litres, etc.) Please make sure that your child has a backpack on that day as well.  We would like to see all containers placed in backpacks for the walk as this will be the safest and easiest way to carry back “the load”.

We will be walking even if the weather is a bit damp, so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately, with suitable footwear for the trip.

Pledge money can be brought in to your child’s classroom teacher any time over the next two weeks. We would appreciate it if all donations are submitted by Thursday, May 31st, if possible, but late donations will be accepted up until Thursday, June 7th

The positive energy and commitment of our students has been wonderful to see, and we’re all looking forward to another GREAT “Water Walk”!
