I know that many families are already planning ahead to Spring Break. Please note the message below and attached calendar, showing changes to our Spring Break. March 30, 31 and April 1 are now NON-INSTRUCTIONAL DAYS, and so students will not be in session at this time. This is to allow teachers time to learn about implementation of the transformed curriculum. For more information, please see the links below.
Attached please find a copy of the revised 2015/2016 Four-Day Instructional Week Calendar that was approved by the Board of Education on November 25, 2015. As per Ministry of Education mandate, two previous days of instruction were changed to non-instructional days (March 30 and 31, 2016) and the District Planning Day, originally allocated to May 6, 2016, has been moved to April 1, 2016. Additionally, June 17, 2016 has been allocated as a day of instruction. The calendar is also available on our website: sd64.bc.ca
