Mr McPhee's Grade 5 Class has now completed their second session out of about 14 total sessions with the lego robotics club. This year students are learning about Elisa the honeybee, the habitat she lives in and what we can do to protect other honeybees like Elisa. Every session includes a bit of information so students learn along the way and then some design and building time. It is a great opportunity for students to show their learning through design. As the sessions progress, students will develop their model and begin to add moving components using Lego’s WEDO 2.0 system. Teams will participate in a district robotics day in late May to share their learning with others and even get to see what the middle school and high school students have been working on.
