Thank you to parent volunteers Monica Brainerd, Cali Chang and Andrea Bryson for doing the lice checks for all the classes today. There have been cases of head lice reported, so please check your child’s head for lice and nits (eggs) today and
every day for the next three weeks. Continue to check everyone in your
family weekly, especially behind the ears and at the back of the neck. Teach and remind your children how head lice are spread and how they can avoid coming into contact with them. If you are not sure what you are looking for, or you find that your child has head lice, please call the school office for more information. By letting the school know that your child has head lice, you will help to control its spread. If you have already treated your child, and head lice are still present, speak to the Public Health Nurse or pharmacist before re-treating. Overuse of some lice treatment products can be harmful to your child. |
