Lieutenant Governor, Honourable, Janet Austin, visited Fernwood Elementary School yesterday. 

Her visit is part of a Canada wide tour engaging with youth in schools in BC about Canada's monarchy and share ideas about a healthy and sustainable future for all. After being introduced by Ms Logan, she explained her role, and students had an opportunity to answer two questions so she could take back information to the Queen when she sees her.  The first question was "What are you proud of the most about where we live?" and "What could we improve on?" We're impressed by the students' answers! The Grade 4 and 5 students performed "You Will Be Found" and had opportunity to meet her as well.
