Emotions, Perspective Taking, and Moral Development

The University of Victoria Child Development Lab is currently looking for children between the ages of 6 and 10 years to participate in an exciting study investigating the relations between emotions and moral development.  In this study, children will complete some thinking tasks and brain games for approximately 1.5 hours. Questionnaires for parents and teachers to fill out will also be handed out. Information from this study is hoped to improve our understanding of how children develop an understanding of right and wrong.  There is a potential that this research could inform interventions in the future that focus on integrating emotion understanding in learning about moral decision making.

There is no cost to participate in the study and participants will be rewarded for their involvement. Children without a diagnosed development disorder are being recruited for this study. If you are interested in participating in this study, please contact Lesley Baker at lesleyb@uvic.ca
