"Parents as Career Coaches"

posted Feb 19, 2014, 1:35 PM by Leah Ashford
On Friday February 28th, Gulf Islands Secondary School with support from DPAC will be hosting Capilano University instructor Marion Haythorne to lead parents in a workshop entitled, "Parents as Career Coaches".

This five hour interactive workshop is designed to help secondary school parents become more effective career development allies for their children. They are introduced to the concepts of coaching and given practical tools and research skills to help them as they coach their youth.

Principals of middle and elementary schools are included in this message as there may be some parents who would like to participate.  It is never to soon to start delving into learning about career pathways.

This event is free of charge to all participants.
