Roy Henry Vickers at the Library this Wednesday

On Wednesday, May 6,  at the Library at 6 pm; an evening with artist and author Roy Henry Vickers & author Lucky Budd for an evening of storytelling and art, to celebrate the third instalment in the bestselling Northwest Coast Legends series. Their previous collaborations, Raven Brings the Light (2013) and Cloudwalker (2014), are award-winning national bestsellers. Orca Chief shares an ancient fable about respecting our oceans. B.C. artist Roy Henry Vickers is best known around the world for his limited edition prints, which show his love and respect of the magnificent natural beauty of this area, clearly evident in his art. His boldly colourful sunsets, subdued misty rivers and peaceful winter scenes reflect the essence of the west coast of Canada. He is also an accomplished carver, a sought-after keynote speaker, and publisher and author of several successful books.
