Ukulele Club!

posted Apr 8, 2014, 12:28 PM by Kelda Logan
There are 21 Fernwood students signed up for ukulele club - 9 more than I was expecting!  Ukulele club will meet for the next 7 Tuesdays at lunch.  Students with their own ukuleles can bring them to the office in the morning where I will tune them, and then we will practice at lunch together.  Our goal is to play a song for a whole school meeting in the late spring.

As there are so many students, I could use help in these ways, if you are able to lend a hand.  First, we need 3 more ukuleles.  I would like students to be able to take them home to practice with over these next weeks, but then they would be returned to you.  Please let me know if you have an extra one you don't mind lending.

Also, if anyone has some experience playing ukulele and doesn't mind coming to help the club, you are welcome to come Tuesdays at lunch!

Please read the notice in the folders that I have sent home, which gives basic information about ukuleles, and shows some basic chords and songs that we will be playing to begin with.

Any questions, or if you can lend a hand, please contact Kelda. klogan@sd64.bc.ca
