Great Water Walk

On May 5th, all the students and staff of Fernwood School will be participating in our 11th annual "Great Water Walk". By walking to St Mary Lake to collect water and carry it back to their school, our students get a better understanding of the daily experience of millions of children in the developing world who must rely on water sources far from home.
Since 2005, our school community with the assistance of Robin Andison (one our retired Teachers) has raised enough money to provide wells for more than twenty villages through the state of Sadhra Pradesh, India.  This means that we have made it possible for over 3500 people to have access to clean, potable water right in the midst of their villages. Information will be coming home soon.
